Hobie, a company with a long history of watersport and kayak innovation has launched the newest addition to their 2022 sit-on-top kayaks with the unveiling of the new Mirage Passport R series of kayaks. The new Mirage Passport R series comes in two models, the Mirage Passport 12.0 R and the Mirage Passport 10.5 R. The first look at these new rotomolded kayaks was made on the water demo day at ICAST2022 this year.
The new R Series models are powered by the MirageDrive propulsion system with Glide Technology and Kick-Up Fins. This means the new R Series models will be able to avoid any underwater obstacles with ease. Rocky or shallow waters won’t be a problem at all thanks to the automatic retraction feature of the Kick-Up Fins on impact and re-deployment once clear of any obstacles. The hull, made using a rugged rotomolded construction is available in two colors; Seagrass Green and Slate Blue. The new R series models feature sleek long lines while at the same time having excellent performance and stability. All the while these new kayaks do not sacrifice any speed.

The new 2022 Mirage Passport 10.5 R and the Mirage Passport 12.0 R will be available at authorized Hobie Kayak dealers starting later this July. The introductory MSRP will be $1649 for the 10.5 R and $1869 for the 12.0 R respectively.
