Any suggestions or recommendations for this trip? [Late July] : overlanding

I’ve been to Nanaimo, Banff and Jasper, and technically I was at Glacier a few years ago during the great wildfires, and couldn’t see shit.

Plan is to drive up Vancouver Island, take the BC Ferries up to Prince Rupert, drive up to the salmon glacier and find some sort of camping around there, then do a mix of off grid camping, campgrounds, and hostels.

Has anyone traveled that stretch of hwy 16 in BC? Any must see sights, tips, recommendations etc?
