I see lots of overland / LC setups with drawers and roof top tents, and a few with sleeping platforms inside, however I almost never seen any with split floorpan setups, like this Sienna van build.

I am planning a build on an LX570 and would like to have this style sleeping setup – a bed that can fit 1 or 2 people, and also turns into a couch/lounge for daytime use. I found a 100 series build with a split setup, from Malaysia. Does anyone have any other pictures or seen anything like this?

The concept I have in mind is to be able to do some occasional night stealth city camping in it, as a place to work on the computer during the day. So with the couch setup, I’d also like to include auxiliary AC. I know that even in a larger van, AC is hard to pull off, but I’m confident I can make it happen, with about 300ah of batteries + solar and a spot cooler, zero breeze, or an undermount ac unit in the spare tire area. I’m even trying to get a very portable and crude but workable setup for taking a shower inside.
Anyway, has anyone seen a split setup with convertible bed / couch in an SUV, have any thoughts on why this is or is not a good idea, or have any suggestions for this sort of setup? Thanks!
