Gary the Cat Loves Chairlifts, Mellow Runs, and Aprés Head Scratches

The Nakiska Ski Resort, near Calgary, is the home turf of Gary the Cat. Gary’s owner, James Eastham, picked him up from an adoption agency with a busted hip. Gary, hip and all, was pretty adventurous, so James figured, naturally, he’d cart Gary around on the slopes on his shoulders. Gary seems to enjoy it, and fellow skiers love it. All of this raises a question that surely the managers of Nakisha have pondered: Does Gary need to buy a pass?
