I know everyone in the US covets the Land Cruiser 70 series Troop Carrier… but they very easy to setup badly (discussion in comments) : overlanding

When most people think of Moab the term “rock crawling comes to mind”, but I wanted to let you all know that you shouldn’t be so intimidated.

A year ago, I did my first trail, Fins N Things, all 9 miles. It was an extreme experience for me, and since the locals referred to it as the “warm up trail”, I just packed my bags and went home. (Plus, we spent a 11 hours on the trail, much of which was letting side by sides pass by, I was exhausted).

A year later, l returned to Moab and discovered its softer side. I drove down the beautiful Onion creek trail with its 27 water crossings. We navigated scenic shelf roads at Hurrah/Pass and Chicken corners. To top things off (literally), we took our vehicles to the Plateau of the Shafer trail and drove all the way down to the Colorado river.

Here’s the trails we drove through, and the link to the playlist of these videos is linked below:

Onion creek Hurrah Pass / Chicken Corners Gemini Bridges Shafer trail / Potash road

I know there’s a lot I missed, like Long Canyon, so what other trails do you recommend that are on the softer side?
