Master Class Monday: How to Cast to Rising Trout

In this week’s Master Class, Dave and Amelia Jensen show us how to cast to a rising trout without spooking it. You need to place your dry fly in a trout’s feeding window, but it’s also important to avoid placing the leader or fly line on top of the trout. Dave uses the term “protecting the edge,” which means that the fly should be placed where a trout can easily capture it without making the trout suspicious or showing it a fly that drags unnaturally.
