Springtime means warmer weather. Warmer weather means it is a lot more fun to exercise outdoors. When I work out at home, I’m in an old, stinky t-shirt, but when I’m in public, I like to look good. Thankfully, 5.11 has put some major effort into creating workout gear that performs and looks fresh. New for this year, 5.11 has released several additions to their line of women’s PT-R workout gear.

Valentina Sports Bra
The Valentina Sports Bra is available in Peacoat or Black and in sizes XS to XL. It uses moisture-wicking and anti-odor material to keep your skin dry and stink-free. The compression fit gives medium support and the flatlock seams keep you comfortable during movement. The soft jacquard elastic bottom band stays in place while you don’t. The inside is fully lined with power mesh fabric and includes removable liner pads. MSRP is $36.00
Catalyst 1/2 Zip
The Catalyst 1/2 Zip is meant to be layered. The thin, 87% polyester, 13% elastane jersey blend is lightweight and includes moisture-wicking properties. There is a chin guard at the top of the zipper to reduce uncomfortable rubbing. Thumbholes are included in the sleeve cuffs. Available in Black, Cinder, or Turbulence, the Catalyst 1/2 Zip comes in at $52.00.
The Kaia Capri is a slight spin on the Kaia Tight, made for those who are looking for a capri length. It uses a skinny fit and is made of nylon and elastane jersey material. It uses moisture-wicking and anti-odor technology so you keep smelling fresh. The MSRP is $65.00.
The Layla Tight is built to be tough like those who wear it. The construction includes a contoured waist, triangle gusset, and flat-locked seams to prevent chaffing. There is a hidden waist pocket for storing your I.D. or credit card. There are also two hip pockets so you can keep your jams playing while you exercise. They also feature an internal drawcord for easy adjustment. MSRP is $70.00
