This is one of my favorite tools for planning shoulder season trips when I want to check current snow coverage. The resolution is high enough to be useful for checking out roads and the imagery is refreshed about every 5 days. Just use the true color imagery and scan through dates to find recent flyovers with acceptable cloud cover.
