Im building up my Forester to be a lil house on wheels to live in while driving the Pan American Highway next year. Ive come up with some things Ive never seen anyone else doing. In this video I show you how I am building shelves and a cool desk/table/workspace. I use the holes from where the headrest on the front seat are as a base to mount a table with legs that rest on the front seat.

I made a bed in the back where sitting on the edge I can dangle my legs over the side and sit all the way up to use this “desk”! The shelf I made is right within reach too. Im also putting a shelf on the opposite side and making an enclosure under the bed where the back seats used to be to house my lifepo battery, dcdc mppt solar charge controller and fuse box. Believe it or not, I fit a fridge under there too. Theres still tons of storage space on either side of where the battery will be. Not to mention the boot is empty where the spare was. Soon, I will get a tow hitch and make my own tire carrier.

This build has come a very long way in a very short time! Im excited how awesome it is so far. All my ideas seem to be working really well and its so cool to see.

Any questions are welcome, same goes for critiques, ideas or whatever! I want to know what you think! How I made the bed and everything else are in other videos on my channel. Thanks so much for watching!
