Video: How to Tie the Parachute Hendrickson

For the past week or so, we’ve been seeing the first Hendricksons popping on the Battenkill. If spring ever really arrives–it’s currently 48 and raining–we will get the chance to throw dry flies for some of the largest browns of the season. In this week’s great video from Tim Flagler of Tightline Productions, he demonstrates how to tie a simple, clean Hendrickson Parachute pattern that’s quick to tie and should float nicely in the surface film. Building on his series on various methods for creating parachute patterns, Tim replaces the fussy thread steps with UV-cure resin. I think you’ll agree that the results are impressive. Watch this baby in sweet, sweet 4K for maximum effect.
