Video Pro Tips: How to Tie a Double Surgeon’s Knot

The folks at Trouts Fly Fishing in Denver have launched an educational video series hosted by director of education and guide Courtney Despos–who appeared on Tom Rosenbauer’s podcast a couple years ago–who walks you through some of the basic skills required to get started in fly fishing. Here, she teaches you how to create a a double surgeon’s knot, which allows you to connect two pieces of monofilament or fluorocarbon of different diameters. It’s a great knot for adding tippet to the end of a leader.
