Y’all running a CB on a pickup w/ rooftop tent on a bedrack, did you ground the rack to the bed? : overlanding

I have a 102″ whip on my truck for trails. It tunes damn near perfect without the bedrack/tent on. Tune goes to shit with the tent/bedrack on.

Now the funny part–if I loosen the bedrack up enough to the point I can slide the rack across the bedrails, it tunes perfect again. If I tighten it back up, immediately goes to shit again lol.

I can’t test the theory today, but I think if I ground the bedrack/tent to the bed, maybe it’ll tune ok again?

Thoughts?

Honestly thinking f*ck a CB and going GMRS lol.

Edit: obligatory rig pic!
